So last weekend, I finished my review of the previous weekend’s festivities surrounding the Backlash Pay Per View. Now, looking ahead to this weekend, it’s Pay Per View time again for WWE as the Raw brand presents Extreme Rules. Now maybe it’s just me, but that’s an awful short amount of time between shows! And don’t get me wrong, I understand the “added value for Network subscribers” deal, but I never had a problem waiting a whole month for a Pay Per View to allow for a decent build to the show from a storyline perspective…but this is 2017, a time when WWE rushes through storylines and doesn’t permit anything to have a slow burn.

So let’s get right into it…I wrote in my last blog a few of my issues with the card going into this past Sunday’s WrestleMania 32 and those issues I had weren’t addressed by WWE in any way shape or form. It’s like the creative team just threw up their arms and said “Whatever you want, Vince!” — which I’m pretty sure isn’t far off from what actually happened in the creative meeting going into the show. So let’s break it down here and I’ll explain why I really hated the outcomes of about 95% of this show.

Fist off, I want to let it be known that for as much as I didn’t like the outcomes of the matches…the matches themselves were mostly quite good and the guys and girls wrestling in the matches did the best they could with what they were given. Problem is, they weren’t given a whole heck of a lot to work with.

First on my list here starts with the ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Title. I was actually stuck at work while this match went down, so I figured I’d pick up WrestleMania live and go back and watch whatever I missed the next day. Problem is…on the Network, the “Preshow” is two hours long and includes Continue reading »

So I first wanted to do a write up about last night’s Summer Slam Pay Per View. First off, if you haven’t seen this show…go out and order the WWE Network already! This really was a phenomenal show! From top to bottom, I was thoroughly happy with everything they gave us. Continue reading »
