So let’s get right into it…I wrote in my last blog a few of my issues with the card going into this past Sunday’s WrestleMania 32 and those issues I had weren’t addressed by WWE in any way shape or form. In fact, I believe they were magnified, highlighted and double-underlined. It’s like the creative team just threw up their arms and said “Whatever you want, Vince!” — which I’m pretty sure isn’t far off from what actually happened in the creative meeting going into the show. So let’s break it down here and I’ll explain why I really hated the outcomes of about 95% of this show.

Fist off, I want to let it be known that for as much as I didn’t like the outcomes of the matches…the matches themselves were mostly quite good and the guys and girls wrestling in the matches did the best they could with what they were given. Problem is, they weren’t given a whole heck of a lot to work with.

First on my list here starts with the ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Title. I was actually stuck at work while this match went down, so I figured I’d pick up WrestleMania live and go back and watch whatever I missed the next day. Problem is…on the Network, the “Preshow” is two hours long and includes Continue reading »

Dee & I run down what’s been going on recently in the world of Professional Wrestling, talking about WWE starting down their “Road to WrestleMania” with the Royal Rumble coming in just over a week, injuries that are causing troubles for WWE along with a number of other topics including Sting being inducted into the Hall of Fame. We also talk this week about some of the moments when we “marked out” for what was happening in the wrestling world, when all the stars were aligned for us as wrestling fans and it was an amazing time to be a wrestling fan. As always, if you have any questions, requests or ideas for the show…please inbox me at: marc@marcstwocents.com and I’ll probably even read your email on the air. Thanks for listening!

Davey Boy Smith — we knew him as “the British Bulldog” — passed away while vacationing in British Columbia, Canada.  He was 39 years old.

At present, no official cause of death is known, though published reports have suggested either a heart attack or an accidental choking death may be possibilities.  In any case, what is certain is this: the wrestling world has lost another performer at far too young an age. Continue reading »

Well, now that the 2002 No Way Out PPV is behind us, let’s take a look at where we stand…

Finally, I did something right with main events….I actually got 2 out of 3 right, which is a major step-up for me. Yay for that, but on a more serious note, let’s see where we really stand.

First matter of business is that Chris Jericho seems positioned to be going to WrestleMania X-8 to defend the Unified Title, which is a good thing. The problem is that now the #1 Contenders spot has been given to Continue reading »

Ok, well here I am with my WrestleMania XII recap, for those who haven’t seen this show. BTW, I also did a WrestleMania X recap just the other day, so if you missed that, it’s right here. Well, on to the WrestleMania XII recap. Also, in case you’re curious, I’m doing this cuz I feel WrestleMania Sunday is as much a holiday as Superbowl Sunday. So on that note….on with the PPV.

This one’s live, on tape from the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California on March 31, 1996. Your hosts are Vince McMahon & Jerry “The King” Lawler. Continue reading »
