Cellular phones are becoming such an integral part of our everyday lives these days. We rely on them for so much…keeping up on social media, keeping in touch with family and friends, getting sports scores, weather updates and important news tidbits all on the go. Most of the time, it’s great to be up on everything going on in your world all on this singular device you can keep in your pocket. Tonight wasn’t one of those times for me.

After leaving work tonight, I made a stop for a soda at a 7-Eleven for the ride home. Just before putting the car back in gear to leave, I checked my phone and saw a notification from Google telling me that legendary wrestling manager and commentator, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan has passed away at the age of 73. Boy can that put a real damper on your day. And I’ll say this…I’ve been looking for a reason to write another one of these columns recently and coming up empty, but while I’ve now found a reason to write one, I really hate that I have to add yet another entry to my “Career Retrospective/Tribute” section here. Dee & I run down what’s been going on recently in the world of Professional Wrestling, talking about WWE starting down their “Road to WrestleMania” with the Royal Rumble coming in just over a week, injuries that are causing troubles for WWE along with a number of other topics including Sting being inducted into the Hall of Fame. We also talk this week about some of the moments when we “marked out” for what was happening in the wrestling world, when all the stars were aligned for us as wrestling fans and it was an amazing time to be a wrestling fan. As always, if you have any questions, requests or ideas for the show…please inbox me at: marc@marcstwocents.com and I’ll probably even read your email on the air. Thanks for listening!

I’m gonna give you a little window into my day to day life…in the morning, I usually get up at about 5:45 to get my son up, fed, dressed & ready to go to the baby sitter’s house. My wife is usually getting herself ready while I’m doing all this, and then once she’s out the door with him, it’s time for me to get myself ready. While I’m feeding him, I typically put the news on to see what’s going on in the world, to see how warm it’s supposed to be today and to see if there are any traffic reports that impact my ride in to NYC in the morning.

This morning was no different. So once he was ready, I started to get ready & she left with him. The TV tends to stay on usually until I’m ready to walk out the door, so the news continues while I’m in the shower, getting dressed, etc. So when I was finally out of the bathroom & heading in to the bedroom to figure out what I was going to wear today, I caught a news story about the Ultimate Warrior passing away last night. My morning just stopped. Continue reading »

It’s been some time since I’ve had a few minutes to compile one of these, as my life has been super busy as of late. However with that said, I’m just gonna jump right into this one and start talking about the build for this year’s WrestleMania pay per view. Continue reading »
