Wow, I’m actually caring enough to do up one of these things! It’s amazing, it really is! Anyway, after last night’s Backlash PPV, I’ve got a whole new feeling about Randy Orton, as I’m sure most of you do too. Last night’s match with Foley was huge for this guy’s career. All I can say is that Foley’s at it again…putting over the younger, up-and-coming talent. He did it for Triple H, he’s done it for the Rock & now he’s doing it for Orton in the one way that he can do it the best…by taking a beating & taking it like a champ.

Last night’s match was unbelievable, the bumps that Orton took, the re-emergence of the barbed wire board, Foley’s threatening of Continue reading »

Well, it’s been one hell of a long time since I’ve gotten up the energy to do up one of these, but considering it’s the Rumble & everything that just happened tonite (yes, I’m writing this at 1am, so technically it IS the 26th, that and I just didn’t want to have two columns from the same date) I’m kinda fired up to see what happens on RAW tonite & SmackDown on Thursday nite.

First, big cheers for the WWE for finally giving SOMETHING to Chris Benoit. Though I’m not the biggest fan of the guy, his ring work is damn solid. So I guess it was just finally his time to be the guy to win the damn thing. He did something that only 2 other men in WWF history have ever done… Continue reading »

Davey Boy Smith — we knew him as “the British Bulldog” — passed away while vacationing in British Columbia, Canada.  He was 39 years old.

At present, no official cause of death is known, though published reports have suggested either a heart attack or an accidental choking death may be possibilities.  In any case, what is certain is this: the wrestling world has lost another performer at far too young an age. Continue reading »

The headlines all around the wrestling sites is the untimely death of the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith. To say I was a fan of his in the mid 90s is an understatement. He was such an accomplished wrestler & I’m going to truly miss him. I do have for you a remberence page up for the British Bulldog, which can be reached by clicking here.

Ok, now that we have Judgment Day 2002 out of the way, maybe we can get on to some decent shows….but that’s not very likely. It might be interesting to see if Continue reading »

Well, now that the 2002 No Way Out PPV is behind us, let’s take a look at where we stand…

Finally, I did something right with main events….I actually got 2 out of 3 right, which is a major step-up for me. Yay for that, but on a more serious note, let’s see where we really stand.

First matter of business is that Chris Jericho seems positioned to be going to WrestleMania X-8 to defend the Unified Title, which is a good thing. The problem is that now the #1 Contenders spot has been given to Continue reading »

Ok, well here I am with my WrestleMania XI recap, for those who haven’t seen this show…and for those of you who have, this should be a fun read for ya. Well, on to the WrestleMania XI recap.

This one’s live, on tape from the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut on April 2, 1995. Your hosts are Vince McMahon & Jerry “The King” Lawler. Your celebrity guests for this WrestleMania are: Pamela Anderson, Jonathon Taylor Thomas from Home Improvement, Jennifer McCarthy from MTV, Nicholas Turturro from NYPD Blue, with musical guests Salt n Pepa. Also on hand tonite is Lawrence Taylor & his All-Pro Team. Geez, this is starting to sound like an episode of SNL with all the introductions in the beginning! Continue reading »

Well, now that the 2002 Royal Rumble is behind us, let’s take a look at where we stand…

Triple H is the winner of this year’s Royal Rumble & appears to be headed to the main event at WrestleMania, which kinda leaves the question still unanswered as to what Stone Cold Steve Austin will be doing for WrestleMania. HHH is quickly on his way to a fifth Federation Championship and with Jericho retaining the coveted title, I’m sure we’re in for a fun ride to WrestleMania.

Other bits of interest regarding the Rumble match itself, it seems that both Continue reading »

Ok, well here I am with my WrestleMania XII recap, for those who haven’t seen this show. BTW, I also did a WrestleMania X recap just the other day, so if you missed that, it’s right here. Well, on to the WrestleMania XII recap. Also, in case you’re curious, I’m doing this cuz I feel WrestleMania Sunday is as much a holiday as Superbowl Sunday. So on that note….on with the PPV.

This one’s live, on tape from the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California on March 31, 1996. Your hosts are Vince McMahon & Jerry “The King” Lawler. Continue reading »

I’ve just finished watching my tape of WrestleMania X & have some comments I just felt I had to show with all of you, my lovely readers…

Where to start…well, let’s start with the beginning, the Bret & Owen Hart match. Don’t ask me about Little Richard doing America The Beautiful, cuz I gotz nothin to say about that…he’s not much better than Salt-N-Peppa the following year. What I wanted to emphasize here was that Owen beat Bret in a great wrestling match, something we really don’t see a whole lot anymore & I highly doubt we’ll see this year in the main event. Continue reading »
